刘达强，字达驽，号石窟驼人（佛丝郎），专精敦煌壁画研究，擅长丝路风情与骆驼题材创作，致力于推广敦煌文化。他是北京中国画院画家、敦煌绘画研究协会主席及北京大学博士生导师。自1993年起，刘达强长期驻敦煌，潜心壁画研究与创作。他曾三次赴日参加“大中国展”，并在法国巴黎“敦煌艺术大展”展出作品（2008）。此外，他参与张掖大佛寺、酒泉法幢寺等地大型壁画创作。2015年，其《敦煌壁画精选》出版，成为中央美院敦煌壁画教学用书。同年，其作品亮相马来西亚亚洲艺术家博览会。2017年，作品《家园》获“朝圣敦煌”全国美术展优秀奖；次年，他于上海举办《追梦大唐·重现敦煌》个展，获授丝路文化创研基地艺术总监称号。

Liu Daqiang, a leading expert in Dunhuang mural studies and Silk Road-themed art, is chairman of the Dunhuang Painting Research Association and a doctoral advisor at Peking University. Liu has held solo exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai Tongji University Museum, and more. He exhibited at Japan's “Great China Exhibition” (2005) and Paris’s “Dunhuang Art Exhibition” (2008). He has contributed to large-scale mural projects at Zhangye Great Buddha Temple and Dunhuang Museum. His 2015 publication on Dunhuang mural became a teaching resource at the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2017, Liu won the Excellence Award at the “Pilgrimage to Dunhuang: National Exhibition of Fine Arts” in China.
